Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies News Release
Atlantic City, NJ â Peoria's Alfie Michaud stopped all 37 shots he faced and Randy Rowe's goal in the third period was the difference as the Peoria Rivermen defeated the Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies 2-0 before 1587 at Historic Boardwalk Hall in ECHL action Wednesday. Atlantic City is just 2-7-2 in their last 11 games.
After a scoreless two periods, Rowe tallied the only goal Peoria (19-16-4) would need when his intended pass across the slot deflected off Bullies goaltender Tyler MacKay's stick and into the net at 7:47 of the third to give the Rivermen a 1-0 lead. Tyler Rennette added an empty-net goal at 19:28 to seal the victory.
Atlantic City out-shot Peoria 37-19. MacKay stopped 17 shots as he fell to 0-4 on the season. The Bullies went 0-3 on the power play.
The Bullies travel to Johnstown to battle the Chiefs at 7PM on Friday from the Cambria County War Memorial. Catch all the action live on ESPN Radio 1450AM and the SurferNetwork beginning with "Bullies Countdown" at 6:40PM.
