Nielsen Goes to Wolves

TRENTON, NJ (February 2, 2005) –The Trenton Titans today announced that Evan Nielsen has been recalled by the Chicago Wolves of the American Hockey League.

Nielsen has recorded 5 assists and 12 penalty minutes in 25 games for Trenton. The second-year pro split his rookie season between the Gwinnett Gladiators of the ECHL and the Wolves, where he notched 19 points (6g, 13a) in 45 games with the Gladiators and chipped in 1 goal over 18 games for Wolves.

An eighth round (#242 overall) draft pick of the Atlanta Thrashers in the 2000 NHL Entry Draft, Nielsen patrolled the backline for four years at the University of Notre Dame, compiling 16 goals and 51 assists for 67 career points over 156 games. The Evanston, IL native joined Chicago for 5 games following his senior season, producing 1 goal and 5 PIM.
