
Mercado promoted to Norwich

Augusta, GA - The San Francisco Giants announced Thursday that GreenJackets RHP Arnoldo Mercado has been promoted to Double A Norwich.
Mercado worked out of the bullpen for the GreenJackets and held a 0-2 record with a 3.94 ERA in 16 appearances. He signed with the Giants in 2001 as a non-drafted free agent and is in his fifth year of professional baseball. Mercado resides in Sinaloa de Leyba, Mexico.
