
Rome Acquires Two Pitchers

Rome, GA - The Rome Braves have acquired two pitchers today from the Gulf Coast League Braves. Right-hander Marcus Covington was 1-0 with one save in ten appearances. Joining Covington is right-hander David Williams. Williams was 0-1 with a 0.47 ERA and seven saves in 13 appearances for the Gulf Coast League Braves. Both players will join the team in Columbus tonight.
Rome continues their series tonight against the Columbus Catfish and will return home on Saturday night to face the Savannah Sand Gnats. Saturday is also Lunch Box Night just in time for back to school. The first 1000 fans 14 and under with paid admission receive a metal lunch box presented by Floyd Medical Center and South 107.
