
Mechanics and Rod Branch shutout Generals 5-0

FRASER, MI-The Mechanics improve to 8-3-0 over the Generals this season behind a 5-0 shutout as Rod Branch makes 35 saves to record the shutout tonight in front of 2,157 fans at the Great Lakes Sports City.
Andrei Lupandin scored first for the Mechanics at 11:20 of the first period also proving to be the game-winning goal. In the second period the Mechanics blew the game open as they would reel off three more goals including a shorthanded goal by defenseman, Chris Bogas.
Chris Gignac scored twice and Adam Edinger netted the other goal for the Mechanics. Goaltender, Rod Branch made 35 saves for his 3rd shutout in his 62nd appearance, also winning his 34th game of the season.
The Mechanics face the Port Huron Flags tomorrow at 7:30 in McMorran Arena and return home on Sunday at 5:00 PM to face the Muskegon Fury.
