
McKenzie, Unger Crack NHL Central Scouting Final Rankings

Moose Jaw Warriors News Release
The Moose Jaw Warriors had two players on the final rankings released by NHL Central Scouting on Tuesday.
Pavel McKenzie was ranked 176th among North American skaters, while Jackson Unger was the 27th ranked goaltender in North America.
McKenzie has had an outstanding rookie season, posting 15 goals and 36 points in 63 games during the 2023-24 regular season.
The Cumberland House, SK product was ranked 170th in the midterm rankings released in January.
Unger put together his best season in the Western Hockey League, leading the league with 35 wins in 54 games, while being nominated for the league's Goaltender of the Year award.
The Calgary product also finished sixth in the WHL in save percentage, 13th in goals against average, third in saves and second in mintues played.
In the midterm rankings, Unger was ranked 18th by NHL Central Scouting.
There were 57 players in total from the Western Hockey League ranked heading into the 2024 NHL Draft.
The 2024 NHL Draft goes on June 28-29 in Las Vegas, NV.
