Swift Current Broncos News Release
Swift Current, Sask. - The NHL's Central Scouting service has come out with its final rankings ahead of the 2024 NHL Draft.
Clarke Caswell and Luke Mistelbacher are both on the radar to have their names called in June in Las Vegas. Caswell is ranked 77th and Mistelbacher is ranked 119th.
The 2006-born Caswell (5'11"/170lbs), finished second on the Broncos in scoring this season, with 77 points which included 26 goals and 51 assists. He finished the regular season on a 13-game points streak that extended to 17 games during the playoffs. The Brandon, Man. product had one of the best seasons for a 17-year-old in Modern Broncos History (Since 1986/1987). His 77 points were the 10th-most for that age, and the most since 2016/2017. He also became the fourth 17-year-old since 2000 to hit 70 points in a season.
So far in the 2024 WHL Playoffs, Caswell has two goals and six assists in six games.
The 2005-born Mistelbacher (6'/190lbs), more than tripled his output in goals, assists, and points from the 2022/2023 regular season this year. He scored 20 goals, and added 33 assists for 53 points. He ranked seventh on the Broncos in points. To end the season, Mistelbacher scored 11 goals and had 26 points over the final 16 games.
In the playoffs, the Steinbach, Man. product has four goals, and three assists, for seven points which included a hat-trick in Game 3 against Lethbridge in Round 1.
The Broncos play game three of their second round series against Moose Jaw on Tuesday night with the series tied 1-1.
