McGough, Tillery and Marable Named OurSports Central USFL Players of the Week

Birmingham Stallions quarterback Alex McGough, cornerback JoJo Tillery and and running back CJ Marable swept the final round of honors for the season as they were named OurSports Central United States Football League Offensive Player, Defensive Player and Unsung Hero of the Week, respectively, for the USFL Championship Game.

McGough completed 18 of 25 passes for 243 yards and four touchdowns while running for 64 yards in the Stallions' 28-12 victory over the Pittsburgh Maulers. McGough earned Offensive Player of the Week honors for the sixth time this season. His performance helped the Stallions capture the USFL Championship for the second year in a row.

Honorable mention goes to Stallions wide receiver Deon Cain who was McGough's favorite target, catching four passes for 70 yards, three for touchdowns, and contributing 101 kickoff return yards.

Defensively, Tillery totalled 10 tackles, one sack and one forced fumble.

Tillery played college football at Wofford and completed his second season with Birmingham.

Pittsburgh Maulers linebacker Reuben Foster earned an honorable mention with seven tackles, one sack and one forced fumble in the Maulers' loss.

With Bo Scarbrough out the entire season with injury, Marable stepped up in the title contest with eight carries for 48 yards and four receptions for 25 yards.
