McAllister Scores Twice but Florida Beats Sea Wolves 5-2

ESTERO, FL - Kyle McAllister notched a pair of power-play goals for the Mississippi Sea Wolves but the Florida Everblades won the third consecutive meeting between the two teams by the score of 5-2 at Germain Arena in Estero, Florida on Friday evening.

The Everblades got on the board first when brad Herauf's wrist shot beat Sea Wolves goalie Ryan Munce over the glove at 9:06 of the first period.

Florida extended its' lead when Kevin Baker blasted a one-timer from the left circle past Munce for his 20th goal of the season just 24 seconds into the second period. Ryan Lang added a power-play goal at 8:14 of the second to give the Everblades a 3-0 lead.

Kyle McAllister got the Sea Wolves on the board when his wrist shot from close range trickled through the pads of Florida goaltender Anton Khudobin at 13:37 for a power-play goal.

McAllister would strike again on the power play when he tapped in the rebound of Jason Tejchma's shot as he stood by the left post with Mississippi on the power play at 2:22 of the third period.

Mathieu Roy gave the Everblades back their two-goal lead when his shot from the low slot trickled past Ryan Munce at 6:16 of the third. Roy would add an empty-net goal at 19:20 to cement the win for Florida.

Mississippi was 2-for-7 on the power play, and Ryan Munce made 40 saves on 44 shots, taking the loss.
