Mavs Minutes

Fast Start: The Mavericks are off to a hot start in the team's 10th season, having earned five of the first possible six of the season with a 2-0-1-0 record. All three games have come against divisional opponents, making the hot start that much more important.

Carzo Hits 200: Captain Rocco Carzo recorded his 200th-career ECHL point in Sunday's game at Rapid City, a game-tying goal with just 15 seconds remaining in regulation that helped the Mavs steal a point on the road. Carzo has 76 goals and 124 assists to his tab in his ECHL tenure.

Worms on Special Teams: Jared VanWormer has made hay on special teams in the early running, owning a power play and shorthanded goal as well as one assist on the power play, bringing his total to three of five points on the year coming on special teams.

Welcome Cliff Watson: Defenseman Cliff Watson wasted no time in making an impact as a Maverick, lighting the lamp during the second period at Rapid City on Sunday - his first game as a member of the team. Watson was an offseason signing before heading to the Stockton Heat's preseason camp and earning a spot on the Mavs' AHL affiliate's season-opening roster.
