Tuesday, March 8 - Missouri Mavericks vs. Colorado Eagles, 7:05 p.m. CST

The Mavericks and Colorado Eagles meet up for the eighth and final time this season at Independence Events Center on Tuesday. Missouri is 4-2-1 this season against the first-place Eagles and 1-1-0 at home. The Mavericks sit in fourth place in the Turner Conference, but are just four points behind the Eagles for first place. Colorado and Rapid City are tied atop the conference with 72 points, but the Mavericks have a game in hand over the Eagles and three games in hand over the Rush. The teams played three games in three nights in mid-February and the Mavericks earned five of a possible six points including a 7-4 drubbing in the last game.

Missouri heads to south Texas for a pair of games this weekend starting with the Bucks on Friday night. The Bucks are currently in last place in the Berry Conference, and three points behind the Arizona Sundogs for the eighth and final playoff spot. Friday's game is the first of two matchups between the Bucks and Mavericks as Missouri will take the long bus ride to south Texas twice in the final three weekends of the regular season. The Mavericks are 2-0-0 all-time against the Bucks, and both games have been one-goal games.
Saturday, March 12 - Missouri Mavericks at Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees, 7:05 p.m. CST

The Mavericks and Killer Bees meet for the third time this season and first time in Hidalgo, Texas. Missouri swept a weekend set against the Killer Bees in November winning 5-4 and 3-2. In two games, the Killer Bees have scored six goals against the Mavericks and half of those goals have come on the power play. Rio Grande Valley has converted on three of 11 power play chances against the Mavericks this season. The Mavericks are averaging 10 more shots per game than the Killer Bees totaling 75 shots in two games compared to 55 shots for Rio Grande Valley.

Last 14 games - The Mavericks are one of the hottest teams in the Central Hockey League right now going 10-2-2 in their last 14 games. In those 14 games, the Mavericks have scored 45 goals and allowed just 24 goals. Goaltenders Robby Nolan and Gerry Festa have also recorded five shutouts during that period.
10 left - Only 10 games remain in the Mavericks' second season, five on the road and five at home.
Road streak - The Mavericks earned at least a point in eight straight road contests (6-0-2) until their loss Sunday night to the Dayton Gems. It marked the Mavericks longest road point streak in team history.
Playoffs - The Mavericks secured their second playoff berth in their second season Friday night in a 1-0 win over the Quad City Mallards. Missouri currently sits in fourth place in the Turner Conference, but the Mavericks are just four points behind first-place Colorado and Rapid City.
Hot duo- In the last 11 games, the Mavericks have scored 45 goals. 21 of those 45 goals (47%) have been scored or assisted by Mike Berry or Todd Griffith.
Brick wall- The Mavericks have allowed the least goals in the CHL, allowing just 146 goals this season for an average of 2.61 goals allowed per game.
