Kansas City Mavericks News Release

INDEPENDENCE, Missouri - The Missouri Mavericks have announced the team's 2011 playoff slogan and logo, asking fans to join the Orange Army. The Mavericks encourage fans to wear orange to all of the team's playoff games throughout the 2011 Ray Miron President's Cup Playoffs.

"We are excited to unveil our playoff theme and campaign of the Orange Army," said Mavericks' President and General Manager Brent Thiessen. "We are looking forward to having our fans enlist in the Orange Army, commit to wearing orange throughout the playoffs and support their team in a manner only the best fans in the CHL could."

Independence Events Center will serve as home base throughout the playoffs, and the Mavericks will theme all of the in-game experience around the Orange Army with new playoff graphics and signage throughout Independence Events Center.

"As the regular season draws to a conclusion, we are asking our fans to support us during the tough battles throughout the playoffs," added Thiessen. "We hope the best fans in the CHL will continue to pack the IEC, wear orange, and enjoy being part of what we have created in the Orange Army throughout the playoffs."

Fans are also encouraged to enlist in the Orange Army by sending fan enlistment videos to promo@missourimavericks.com and show how they will support the Orange Army.

The Mavericks have already punched their ticket to the 2011 Ray Miron President's Cup Playoffs, and the first two home playoff games are on sale now.
