Arizona Sundogs News Release
The Arizona Sundogs (24-28-9) currently occupy seventh place in the Berry Conference after winning three of four road games last week. The Sundogs sit two points back of the Mississippi RiverKings and fifth place, one point back of the Odessa Jackalopes and sixth place and own a three-point cushion over eighth place and the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees. Arizona is five points ahead of ninth-place Laredo.
On Tuesday, Levente Szuper allowed one goal on 35 shots and the Sundogs snapped a 12-game road winless streak, earning two points on the road for the first time since December 11 with a 2-1 win over Laredo.
Skating in their second game in 15 hours, the Sundogs earned their third straight victory and second in a row away from Tim's Toyota Center, topping the Killer Bees by a 4-1 mark Wednesday morning. Michel Robinson was nearly perfect in his first start in net for the Sundogs, turning aside 31 shots, including 16 in the second period. Joey Sides finished with two goals and an assist in the win.
On Friday, Arizona held on for their fourth straight win, topping the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees by a 5-4 mark after leading 4-0 after 40 minutes of play.
The Bucks ended the Sundogs' four-game winning streak with a 4-1 win Saturday. Skating in their fourth game in five days, Arizona trailed 3-0 less than four minutes into the game on goals by Keegan Dansereau and Jeff Hazelwood. Making his second start in net for Arizona, Michel Robinson was chased from the contest after allowing three goals on nine shots in just 3:21 of action.
In the midst of their final road trip of the regular season, the Sundogs are 3-2-4 in their last nine games away from Tim's Toyota Center. Arizona closes out the road portion of its 2010-11 regular season schedule Tuesday at 5:05 (Arizona time) against Odessa.

Sundogs Storylines:
- Craig Macdonald is riding a three-game point streak (1g/2a) and has eight points (1g/7a) through his last eight games.
- Brett Blatchford joins the Sundogs after appearing in seven combined games with the Central Hockey League's Texas Brahmas and the ECHL's Toledo Walleye this season. The d-man assisted on the game-winning tally in his first game with Arizona, a 2-1 win over Laredo on 3/8, scored his first pro goal in his second game with the Sundogs, a 4-1 win over Rio Grande Valley on 3/9 and added a pair of assists in a 5-4 win over the Killer Bees on 3/11. Blatchford has four points (1g/3a) in four games with Arizona.
- Michel Robinson stopped 31 of 32 shots in his first start in net for Arizona, a 4-1 win over the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees on 3/9. Robinson surrendered a late power-play goal with two and a half minutes remaining in the contest.
- The Sundogs own a 3-1-3 record in seven games against the Odessa Jackalopes this season. Cam Keith leads the team in scoring against the Jackalopes with 12 points (3g/9a) while Luke Erickson has nine goals in seven games against Odessa.
- Arizona is 1-5-1 against the Colorado Eagles this season. Joey Sides has a team-high 11 points (6g/5a) in seven games against Colorado this season.
- The Sundogs own a 1-5-1 mark against the defending Ray Miron Presidents' Cup Champion Rapid City Rush this season. Kyle Hood leads his club in scoring against the defending champs with 10 points (5g/5a).
- Arizona closed out its season series against the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees with a 7-1-0 mark, including a perfect 5-0-0 record at State Farm Arena in South Texas.
- The Sundogs are 18-14-5 against fellow Berry Conference opponents but are just a 6-14-4 against teams from the Turner Conference. Four of the team's last five games come against Turner Conference opponents the Colorado Eagles and Rapid City Rush.
- Arizona is 13-2-4 when leading after one period, 15-2-3 when leading after two periods, 8-8-2 when tied after 20 minutes, 5-3-3 when tied after two periods, 3-18-3 when trailing after the first period and 4-23-3 when trailing after 40 minutes of play.

- Tallying the game-winning goal in a 7-4 win over the RiverKings on 3/5, Mark Kolanos becomes the franchise's all-time leader in game-winning goals with 11. Kolanos has four points (1g/3a) in his last four games.
- Central Hockey League Commissioner Duane Lewis named the Arizona Sundogs as the hosts of the 2012 CHL All-Star Game in a pregame ceremony on Friday, March 4. Additional details will be announced at a later date.
