Mavericks' Goaltender Robby Nolan Named to All-CHL Team

INDEPENDENCE, Missouri - The Missouri Mavericks in conjunction with the Central Hockey League (CHL) announced today Missouri Mavericks' goaltender Robby Nolan has been named to the 2010-11 All-CHL Team. The six-member team was selected through balloting of all 18 CHL head coaches.
"There is no one more deserving than Robby," said Mavericks' Head Coach Scott Hillman. "This is the first major individual honor for our franchise. Robby has been the backbone of this team and his teammates are very happy for him. We congratulate him for his great success."
Nolan is in his second professional season and first in the CHL. The Sherwood Park, Alberta native made the CHL All-Star Team, was named the Sher-Wood CHL Goaltender of the Month for December and is not only a finalist for the CHL's Most Outstanding Goaltender but also a finalist for the league's Most Valuable Player Award. Nolan is 24-13-5 on the season with a league-leading 2.05 goals against average, a league-best seven shutouts and a .928 save percentage (third in the CHL). Of his 25 wins, Nolan has allowed just 28 goals, good for a 1.12 goals against average.

Missouri wraps up their home schedule for the 2010-11 regular season this Tuesday when they face the Wichita Thunder at 7:05 pm at Independence Events Center. The Mavericks will wrap up the regular season with two games in south Texas against the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees on Friday Night and Laredo Bucks on Saturday, March 26.
