Regular Season Wraps Up

Strong Finish: The Tulsa Oilers, having assured themselves of home ice advantage in the opening round of the Ray Miron Presidents' Cup playoffs, conclude the regular season with three games this weekend. The Oilers conclude a six game road trip at Wichita on Friday at 7:05 p.m.; host Wichita Saturday at 7:35 p.m. and conclude the regular season Sunday at home against Allen at 4:05 p.m. All three games this week can be accessed via the internet at www.tulsaoilers.com and CHL TV.

Points In All: The Oilers had three road games last week and earned points in all three. They lost in a shootout at Texas 4-3, won in Allen 6-3 and lost in overtime at Odessa, 3-2.

Old Rivals: Prior to Saturday's game, there will be an alumni game featuring former Oiler players against former Wichita Thunder players. The vintage game takes place at 5:30 p.m. before the regular Oilers-Wichita game.

Nice Return: Chad Costello returned to the Oilers from Lake Erie of the American Hockey League and had two goals at Texas and a goal and two assists at Allen. He didn't have any points at Odessa which ended his league high point scoring streak at 21 games. Costello is the Oilers leading scorer with 33 goals and 47 assists for 80 points.

Hey Rook: Center Gary Steffes earned a spot on the CHL's All Rookie team. It is the second straight year the Oilers have placed a player on the all-rookie team, as Sean Erickson was on the 2009-10 CHL All Rookie team.
