CHECKING THE RIVALRY

The Mavericks are facing the Steelheads tonight for the first of two meeting between the clubs this season. Today is Idaho's first-ever visit to Silverstein Eye Centers Arena, and the third all-time meeting between the squads. The Mavericks are 1-1-0 all-time against Idaho after splitting a pair of games in Boise last April 8 and 9. The Steelheads arrive at tonight's game owning four consecutive wins, including three straight to open their eight-game road trip. The Mavericks, meanwhile, have won six of their last seven, but had a six-game win streak snapped in Sunday's loss to Toledo. The Mavericks' roster features a pair of former Steelheads in Josh Robinson and Radoslav Illo.

ONE-TIMER * The Mavericks have gone 2-2-2 on home ice against Mountain Division opponents this season. They are 12-7-0 at home against the rest of the ECHL. Including tonight the Mavericks have six more division home games.
