ATLANTA - Atlanta United returns to action on Sunday, August 19 when it hosts Columbus Crew SC at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Atlanta enters the weekend atop the Supporters' Shield Standings (14-4-6, 48 points) while Columbus sits in fourth place in the Eastern Conference (11-7-6, 39 points). Sunday's match, presented by Equifax, is scheduled to kick-off at 4 p.m. EST and will be televised on FOX Sports Southeast.
Atlanta is coming off a 2-2 draw against Toronto FC on August 4 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Josef Martinez scored a brace to bring his season goal tally to 26, leaving him just one goal shy of tying the all-time MLS record.
Columbus has won three straight games, most recently a 1-0 win over Houston Dynamo at home on August 11. Gyasi Zardes scored the game-winning goal in second-half stoppage time, his third goal in the past three games.
