QUOTES
New York City FC Head Coach Domenec Torrent
On second half performances...
"In the second half of the last three games, we are in trouble. We have to improve. This week we practiced a lot our defensive line. We didn't play bad in the first half with our defense. In the first half it was okay. We missed a lot of close chances. When that happens in football you can lose the game. We have to be more clinical when we have the ball in the six yard box and we have to defend well, especially in the second half."
On Red Bulls match...
"It's a derby. We've lost 4-0, 4-0 and after that we were able to win the [third game]. That is football. We need to have a good performance because against Red Bulls it's not easy to play against."
New York City FC Goalkeeper Sean Johnson:
On match..
For me, in moments where we have opportunities to put teams on the backfoot we have to capitalize and if we don't, 0-0 we have to see a game out and that's what it's going to take, results home and away, to achieve what we want this year.
On dropping the points...
It's not the end of the world losing a game. It's not the first game we've lost this year, so I don't think there is any real reason to panic at this point. I know we've won at lot of games this season, so when we do lose, it's not something we're used to. Us as players, we're disappointed, we hate losing, especially with the quality of the team we have."
New York City FC Defender Anton Tinnerholm:
On conceding goals recently...
It's the whole team. When we score it's the whole team. When we concede it's the whole team. We have to step up, especially in the away games."
On the second half...
It's not good enough. They created some chances and score, so the second half wasn't good enough. Sometimes you have to give credit to the opponent as well."
