CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – The Kernels announced Monday that catcher Brett Martinez has been assigned to Provo of the Pioneer (Rookie) League and catcher Marlon Solorzano has been assigned to the Kernels from Provo.

Martinez was assigned to the Kernels from Provo on Aug. 31 to take the place of catcher Bobby Wilson, who was placed on the disabled list with a broken thumb.
