
Martinez Drives in Three Runs in 6-2 Win

Oklahoma City - Jose Martinez drove in three of the Oklahoma City RedHawks' runs in a 6-2 win Monday against the Colorado Springs Sky Sox in front of 3,544 at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark.
The win extended Oklahoma City's club record winning streak to 11 games.
The RedHawks, who entered the game with the best record in the Pacific Coast League, improved to 67-50 and took a 3-0 lead in their series with Colorado Springs (56-58).
Martinez, who was the RedHawks designated hitter Monday, went 2-for-3 with three RBI and scored one run. Oklahoma City first baseman Jon Singleton went 2-for-4 with two RBI. Shortstop Marwin Gonzalez also had two hits for the RedHawks.
Oklahoma City starting pitcher Wade LeBlanc (3-1) allowed just one run and five hits, walked four and struck out five in six-plus innings. Colorado Springs starter Sean Gallagher (0-1) was charged with the loss, allowing four runs on seven hits, four walks and one strikeout.
The Sky Sox took the first lead Monday.
A RBI double by Jordan Pacheco put Colorado Springs in front in the third inning.
Singleton hit a bases-loaded double to left field to drive in two runs in the fourth inning and give the RedHawks a 2-1 lead. A sacrifice fly to right field by Martinez pushed Oklahoma City ahead by two runs.
The RedHawks extended to a 5-1 lead on RBI singles by Martinez in the sixth and eighth innings. Martinez later scored on a wild pitch for a 6-1 advantage in the eighth.
A sacrifice fly by Colorado Springs' Hernan Iribarren cut into Oklahoma City's lead in the top of the ninth.
The RedHawks conclude their 12-game homestand and four-game series against Colorado Springs at 7:05 p.m. Tuesday at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark.
