Marlies' D Todd Perry Loaned To Columbia

Mike Penny, General Manager of the Toronto Marlies, announced today that the club has returned defenceman Todd Perry on loan to the Columbia Inferno of the ECHL.

Perry, 21, has appeared in eight games with the Toronto Marlies this season, including three games since being called-up from Columbia on March 1. The Ingleside, Ontario native posted his first career AHL point on Friday, March 7 at Syracuse with an assist on Max Taylor's goal. In eight games this season with the Marlies, Perry has recorded one point (assist), a plus-two rating and eight penalty minutes.

The 6'3, 215-pound defenceman has skated in 44 games this season with the Inferno, registering 21 points (five goals, 16 assists) and 63 penalty minutes. Perry ranks second on the Inferno's defence with five goals.

The Marlies travel to Grand Rapids on Wednesday as they take on the Griffins - AHL affiliate of the Detroit Red Wings - with puck drop at 7:00 p.m. The Marlies have a pair of games, with Ben Ondrus bobblehead night, presented by Ricoh, taking place this Saturday when the Marlies host their QEW rival, Hamilton Bulldogs - AHL affiliate of the Montreal Canadiens - at Ricoh Coliseum at 4:00 p.m. On Sunday at 4:00 p.m. the Marlies play the Griffins for the second time this week.
