Rewind the Tape:
3.5.08 - Worcester 0 - Norfolk 4 -DCU Center
The Sharks fired 32 shots on Admirals goaltender Marc Denis but could not find the back of the net as the Sharks fell to Norfolk 4-0 to close out the season series. The Sharks had plenty of chances but came up empty on six power play attempts. Thomas Greiss made 18 saves in net for Worcester as four different goal scorers cashed in for the Admirals.
3.7.08 - Worcester 5 -Albany 3 - DCU Center
The Sharks ended the Rats nine game point streak behind three point efforts by Graham Mink (2-1-3) and Derek Joslin (1-2-3). Lukas Kaspar and Dennis Packard scored the other goals for the Sharks, who defeated Albany for the first time this season. Thomas Greiss made 19 saves in goal for the Sharks. Worcester scored three power play goals to send the River Rats scurrying.
3.8.08 - Worcester 2 -Lowell 3 - Shootout - DCU Center
Graham Mink scored with under three minutes remaining in the third to tie the game at 2-2 but the Devils prevailed in the Shootout scoring twice on five chances on goaltender Dmitri Patzold. Lukas Kaspar tied a career high in goals after recording his 14th in the first period. The Devils scored twice on the power play as they recorded their third extra session victory over the Sharks this season.
3.9.08 - Worcester 1 -Providence 2 - Shootout - Dunkin Doughnuts Center
Thomas Greiss made 38 saves but the Sharks could only muster one goal on Bruins netminder Tuukka Rask.
Tom Walsh gave the Sharks a 1-0 lead with six minutes left in the second period but Sean Curry would tie the game at 1-1 with just: 40 seconds remaining with the extra attacker. The Sharks went 0-5 in the Shootout while Brett Skinner scored the only goal for the Bruins on five attempts.
Sharks in the Atlantic...
The Sharks (25-27-4-6) swim in sixth place with 60 points in the Atlantic Division, two points behind Manchester for fifth and eight points behind the Falcons for the fourth and final playoff spot. The Sharks have played 62 games, which is one less than Manchester and two less than Springfield.
Sharks Bites:
* F Mike Iggulden is tops on the team with 22 goals, 31assists, 53 points, and was the lone Sharks representative in the 2008 AHL-All Star Classic in Binghamton, NY. Iggulden made his NHL debut with the San Jose Sharks at the New York Islanders on Monday, February 18th and went scoreless.
* Lukas Kaspar tied a career high with 14 goals after he scored in the first period vs. Lowell on Saturday.
* Graham Mink scored his 20th goal of the season late in the third period vs. Lowell on Saturday. It was the 4th time in Mink's AHL career that he has reached the 20 goal plateau in the AHL.
* The Sharks scored three power play goals for the third time this season after going 3-5 vs. Albany on Friday.
* Thomas Greiss was just: 40 seconds away from his first professional shutout before Sean Curry scored for the Bruins on Sunday to tie the game at 1-1.
* Dan Spang picked up his first fighting major penalty of the season after scuffling with Radek Smolenak of the Admirals on Wednesday.

Worcester to host the 2009 AHL All-Star Classic!
American Hockey League President and CEO David Andrews announced that the Worcester Sharks and the city of Worcester have been awarded the 2009 AHL All-Star Classic. The event will take place at the DCU Center in January, 2009. The 2009 event in Worcester will mark the fourth time since it was revived in 1995 that the AHL All-Star Classic will take place in New England. The AHL All-Star Game was last held in Massachusetts in 1959 at the Eastern States Coliseum in West Springfield.
Coming Up:
The Sharks have just 18 games left in the season, 10 of which will be played at the DCU Center, including two this week! The Sharks host the San Antonio Rampage on Wednesday at 7:05 on "Fill me up Wednesday."
On Friday, the Sharks travel to Lowell for a rematch with the Devils at 7:05p.m. With the playoffs on the line, the Sharks travel to Springfield in hopes of clipping the Falcons at 7:00p.m.
The Sharks return home for a 4:05p.m. start vs. the Hartford Wolf Pack as the Sharks will be wearing a special St. Patrick's Day jersey designed by a young Sharks fan!
