WEEK 22 - RIVERMEN ACTION (1-2-0-0)
Tuesday, March 4 - RIVERMEN 2 vs. Quad City 1
David Van der Gulik put the Flames ahead 1-0 in the second period, but the Rivermen would rally with a pair of goals in the third, tying the game when Nicholas Drazenovic notched a power play goal at 8:51 followed by Micki DuPont's game winner at 17:44 to give the Rivermen its third win in a row. Marek Schwarz made 22 saves for the victory.
Wednesday, March 5 - RIVERMEN 2 @ Rockford 3
Martin St. Pierre scored twice to open the game and give the IceHogs a 2-0 first period lead, followed by Jake Dowell's goal just 2:13 into the second to make it 3-0 Rockford before Peoria came back. Nicholas Drazenovic scored a power play goal for the second straight game at 9:26 of the third period to get Peoria on the board, followed by Charles Linglet's 6-on-5 marker at 18:24 to make it 3-2. Despite a late power play chance and a sixth attacker, the Rivermen were unable to score once more and saw its three game winning streak come to a halt.
Sunday, March 9 - RIVERMEN 1 vs. Chicago 2
The first meeting between these two teams since December 19 was a close one. Jason Krog netted a pair of first period goals to push the Wolves ahead, and then Peoria rebounded to make it 2-1 when Trent Whitfield scored a power play goal at 11:26 of the second period, picking up the rebound off Jean-Guy Trudel's point shot. That was the only goal Ondrej Pavelec would allow as he made 32 saves for the win, his 11th in his last 13 starts.
