
Chuck-A-Puck Ups The Ante For Pink In The Rink

Des Moines, IA- KIOA Chuck-A-Puck is a second intermission tradition at the Iowa Stars games and on Saturday, March 15th the prizes and anticipation will be bigger and better than ever! The Stars have partnered with the John Stoddard Cancer Center at Iowa Methodist for Pink in the Rink, a night in which all proceeds will benefit John Stoddard.
For this one time event the Chuck-A-Puck prizes are super-sized and the price per puck will increase by $1. Prizes include the grand prize of a team autographed commemorative Pink in the Rink jersey, the same ones the players will be wearing for the game! The side prizes each include suite tickets for upcoming events at Wells Fargo Arena along with gift certificates to local restaurants.
Grand Prize:
- a team autographed commemorative Pink in the Rink jersey
Side Prizes:
- $50 restaurant gift certificate to any Full Court Press location along with 2 suite tickets to see the Harlem Globetrotters at Wells Fargo Arena on March 30 and a pink team autographed stick
- $50 restaurant gift certificate to Court Avenue Brewing Company along with 2 suite tickets to see Billy Joel at Wells Fargo Arena on April 15 and a pink autographed stick.
- A family dinner at Spaghetti Works along with a family pack of tickets to see DoodleBops Live at Wells Fargo Arena on April 6 and a pink autographed stick
- $50 restaurant gift certificate to Legends American Grill along with 2 suite tickets to Cirque de Solei at Wells Fargo Arena on April 10 and a pink autographed stick
Other events for the evening include a live jersey auction that will follow the game, an all sports memorabilia silent auction on the concourse, and one of the Iowa Stars players will dye his hair pink for the game. Pink in the Rink t-shirts will also be sold at the game for $12 and $18.
Fans should be watching over the next few days for things around Wells Fargo Arena to start turning pink- including the ice. The Stars will host the Lake Erie Monsters at home on Tuesday, March 11 beginning at 7:07 PM. This is the last chance for fans to decide which Stars player will "go Pink" for the Saturday nights game by dropping their donations into the jar with that players picture on it.
