Marlies announce signings

The Toronto Marlies, proud member of the American Hockey League, announced today the signing of free agent right wing Nathan Perrott to a professional tryout contract and the signing of free agent defenceman David Pszenyczny to an amateur tryout contract.

Perrott, 29, returns to Toronto after having played three games with the Maple Leafs last season. He was traded to the Dallas Stars for a fifth round draft choice on November 6, 2005. The Owen Sound, Ontario native registered three points (two goals, one assist) while collecting 54 penalty minutes with the Stars in 2005-06. He was held pointless in three games with Toronto. The 6'0, 225-pound winger played 96 games over two seasons (2002-03, 2004-05) with the Maple Leafs' American Hockey League affiliate in St. John's and registered 43 points (23 goals, 20 assists) with 373 penalty minutes with the club.

Pszenyczny, 21, a native of Sterling Heights, Michigan, played four plus seasons in the Ontario Hockey League with Sarnia, Mississauga and Barrie collecting 133 points (51 goals, 82 assists) while recording 555 penalty minutes. The 6'0, 190-pound defenceman led all IceDog defencemen in scoring and penalty minutes in 2004-05, his first year playing under then head coach Greg Gilbert.
