PHILADELPHIA - The line of Stefan Ruzicka, Mark Cullen and Tony Voce played a hand in all three goals for the Phantoms Sunday night in a 4-3 shootout win over the Binghamton Senators at the Wachovia Center.

Binghamton climbed on the board first when Cory Pecker forced a turnover inside the Phantoms zone and fed Grant Potulny, who slid it past a prone Martin Houle for a 1-0 lead at 8:11 of the first period.

Philadelphia picked up an equalizer at 13:29 while on the power play. John Slaney fired a harmless-looking puck that went into and squirted out of the glove of goaltender Jeff Glass and into the net. Cullen and Ruzicka earned assists.

The Phantoms then took the 2-1 lead on a vintage, blue-collar Philly goal at 5:18 of the second. Ruzicka led a three-on-two rush and fired a slapshot from the right circle. The rebound came to Cullen, who put another shot off Glass. The second rebound came to a crashing Voce, who cleaned up the garbage while falling to the ice for his first goal of the season.

Binghamton tied the game at the 15:15 mark of the second period. Serge Payer had the puck at the right hash marks and backed away before throwing it across the crease to Brian Maloney at the far post. Maloney tucked it inside the back door past Rejean Beauchemin for the 2-2 tie.

The Senators took a 3-2 lead on a bank shot by Jeff Heerema at 7:31 of the third period. Heerema was behind the net and plunked the puck off Beauchemin's right skate.

But the Phantoms leveled the game again at 12:48. Voce swept down in the left circle and fired a wrist shot at Glass. He made the save off his shoulder, but the Senators couldn't clear and Ruzicka pounded it home to tie the game at 3-3.

In the shootout, Beauchemin slammed the door on four Binghamton shooters, while Cullen scored in the second round before Denis Tolpeko iced it with a fourth-round goal.

Houle played the first 29:28 of the game before leaving with a leg injury. He made 16 saves on 17 shots in the no-decision. Beauchemin earned the win in relief, making 23 saves on 25 shots in 35:32.

A complete boxscore of the game is attached; however, plus-minus statistics are not included. Please contact Phantoms PR if you are in need of specific plus-minus statistics for the game.

The 3-1 Phantoms now embark on a four-game road swing that starts next weekend in Norfolk. After a pair of voyages with the Admirals, the club heads to Chicago and Grand Rapids the following weekend.
