Mississauga, ON - The Mississauga Steelheads are pleased to announce that right winger, Marcus Dickerson, has committed to the team.

A native of West Deptford, New Jersey, Dickerson was selected by the Mississauga Steelheads in the 12th Round (225th overall) at the 2014 OHL Priority Selection. He spent last season with the Selects Hockey Academy U-16 team in the USPHL alongside fellow Steelhead, Noah Robinson.

In 28 regular season games with the Selects Hockey Academy, Dickerson recorded 24 points (12 goals and 12 assists), adding an assist in his team's 3 playoff victories to lead them to a 2013-2014 USPHL U16 Championship.

After his championship season in the USPHL, Dickerson participated in the 2014 OHL Cup as a member of the Elite Hockey Group. In 4 games he tallied 2 goals and 1 assist, tying him for the team lead in scoring. Steelheads General Manager and Head Coach, James Boyd, is pleased with the addition of Dickerson, who stood out at training camp this past summer, adding "Marcus is a high energy player who will bring speed and tenacity to our lineup."

The Steelheads welcome Marcus and the Dickerson family to the Mississauga Steelheads organization.
