MAKING AN IMPRESSION:

Defenceman Paul Postma made his Moose debut this past week after being assigned on a conditioning stint by the Winnipeg Jets. Postma impressed rattling off three points in his first three games including a goal in his first game. The native of Red Deer, Alberta also led the team in shots on goal in his first two games.

FIRST SHUTOUT FOR COMRIE:

Eric Comrie recorded a big milestone in his young career this past Wednesday against the Lake Erie Monsters. Comrie made 24 saves to earn his first career AHL shutout. The native of Edmonton, Alberta continues to have an incredible rookie season with the Moose posting a .913 save percentage.

BREAKOUT BRASSARD:

Forward Austen Brassard continues his strong season in Manitoba. Now in his third year in the organization, Brassard recently surpassed his career high in goals and now has eight on the season with still over half the games to be played. The native of Windsor, Ontario is showing his sniper abilities with a 24.2 shooting percentage this year, which is among the best in the league.

DE LEO KEEPS SCORING:

Rookie forward Chase De Leo has been nothing short of impressive in his rookie season with the Moose. De Leo scored two goals against Lake Erie this past Wednesday for his second multi-goal game of the season and third multi-point game of the year. The native of La Mirada, California will be looking for a big road trip where he returns to his home state to play his first games as a professional.

EARNING THE CALL:

The Moose had three forwards make the jump up to the NHL with the Jets this week. After scoring a goal in Manitoba's game on Monday against Lake Erie, Matt Halischuk was recalled by the Jets for the second time this season. Patrice Cormier had an assist in each of his final two games with the Moose before earning his second trip to the Jets this year. JC Lipon has been one of the most consistent players for the Moose this season bringing offence and physicality and will be looking to make his NHL debut on Monday night.

INJURY REPORT:

The Moose have had some good news as of late as both Thomas Raffl and Jay Harrison are nearing a return to the lineup. Raffl has been out since Dec. 12 with a broken jaw and Harrison hasn't played since Dec. 17 with an upper body injury, but both are expected to return to action during this road trip. Brennan Serville continues to remain out of the lineup with an upper body injury.
