Manitoba Moose Post-Game Report - Manitoba at Bakersfield - January 29

Goals:

- Right off the faceoff to open a powerplay, Bakersfield wins the draw to defenceman Brad Hunt who slaps it top corner past Eric Comrie at 19:38 of the first period.

- While on a penalty kill, Peter Stoykewych clears the Moose zone off the boards to John Albert. Albert drives the Condors net wide and does a wraparound. The rebound comes out front where Thomas Raffl gets two shots and beats Laurent Brossoit shorthanded at 2:29 of the second period.

- On the powerplay, Chase De Leo passes cross ice to Nic Petan. Petan's shot causes a rebound that goes to Matt Fraser in front who beats Brossoit at 15:33 of the second period.

- Ryan Pitlick drives the Moose net on the powerplay his shot bounces off Comrie's pad and the rebound is batted in by Ryan Hamilton at 1:17 of the third period.

- Zack Kassian takes a rebound off of Comrie's pads and shoots it into the net at 3:55 of the third period.

- The Moose are unable to clear the zone on the powerplay which results in Matthew Ford tipping in a Phillip McCrae shot past Comrie at 12:45 of the third period.

- Joshua Winquist makes a cross ice pass to Andrew Miller who one times a slap shot past Comrie at 13:35 of the third period while on the powerplay.

- Kellen Jones scores into an empty Moose net at 17:10 of the third period.

Highlights/Notes:

- John Albert missed on a penalty shot :33 seconds into the second period. It was Manitoba's first penalty shot attempt this season.

- Thomas Raffl has now played five games since returning to the lineup following a broken jaw. In his last two games he has a goal and two assists. Raffl's shorthanded goal was the third by a Moose player this season.

- With an assist Chase De Leo continues to lead the Moose in scoring with 11 goals and 13 assists for 24 points this season. De Leo has four assists in his last five games.

- Nic Petan extended his point streak to four games with an assist. He has a goal and four assists for five points during that stretch. Petan leads the Moose with a 7.4 points per game average.

- Matt Fraser scored his fourth goal of the season. He has two goals in his last three games.

- Eric Comrie made 31 saves while facing 36 shots in the game.

- The Moose lost a game for the first time in regulation after leading after two periods (8-1-0-1).

- Four powerplay goals is the most the Moose have given up in a game this season. They previously had not given up more than two powerplay goals against in a game.

- The Moose are now 0-4-2-1 on their current road trip with one game remaining. Manitoba is currently winless in their last 12 road games.

- The Condors win the season series against the Moose 3-1-0-0. They will not meet again during the regular season.

The Moose will travel to face the Ontario Reign in the final game of their road trip on Saturday, Jan. 30 at 8 p.m. CT.
