HARTFORD, CT - Chad Nehring notched a pair of goals as the Hartford Wolf Pack defeated the St. John's IceCaps 4-1 at the XL Center in Hartford, Connecticut.
Charles Hudon (from Gabriel Dumont) scored the lone goal for the IceCaps early in the third period to cut the Wolf Pack lead to two, but Nick Tarnasky potted a tally with seven minutes left to extend the lead to three for the win.
St. John's will take a short break for the AHL All Star Classic, where rookie forward Michael McCarron, and defenseman Morgan Ellis will represent the IceCaps in the Eastern Conference.
