Manderson and Minella Loaned to Wheeling

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. - The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins announced today that they have loaned forwards Chris Minella and Denver Manderson to the Wheeling Nailers of the ECHL.

Manderson tallied a goal and an assist in three preseason games, while Minella also dressed in three contests for the Penguins.

Wilkes-Barre/Scranton also announced the following players have been released from their try-out agreements: forwards Kyle Fletcher, Chaz Johnson, Patrick McGrath, Carter Rowney, C.J. Severyn, Cody Sylvester and Scott Zurevinksi; defensemen Barry Goers, Mike Ratchuk, Clark Seymour and Alex Velischek and goaltender Andy Chiodo.

The Penguins active roster currently stands at 27 players: 15 forwards, nine defensemen and three goaltenders.

The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins open the 2013-14 regular season in Bridgeport against the Sound Tigers on Saturday, Oct. 5 at 7:00PM.
