
Ottawa Sends 29 Players to Binghamton

BINGHAMTON, N.Y. - The Ottawa Senators announced today that they have reduced their roster to 22 players by assigning a total of 30 players to the American Hockey League (AHL) and Canadian Hockey League (CHL).
Twenty-nine of the 30 assigned players will report to the Binghamton Senators for the start of their 2013-2014 season. The lone player not assigned to Binghamton is Ottawa's 2013 first-round draft choice Curtis Lazar, who was assigned back to his major junior club, Edmonton Oil Kings of the Western Hockey League.
The 29 players assigned to Binghamton include defencemen Ben Blood, Mark Borowiecki, Cody Ceci, Fredrik Claesson, Tyler Eckford, Daniel New, Troy Rutkowski, Michael Sdao and Chris Wideman. Forwards include Corey Cowick, Jakub Culek, David Dziurzynski, Derek Grant, Wacey Hamilton, Danny Hobbs, Mike Hoffman, Ludwig Karlsson, Darren Kramer, Jim O'Brien, Andre Petersson, Shane Prince, Matt Puempel, Buddy Robinson, Cole Schneider, Mark Stone and Mike Zibanejad. Also assigned to Binghamton are goaltenders Scott Greenham, Andrew Hammond and Nathan Lawson.
The B-Sens open their 2013-2014 regular season at home this Saturday, October 5, versus their East Division rival the Syracuse Crunch in a 7:05 p.m. contest.
Single game tickets to all 37 games played at the newly renovated Arena are now available for purchase. Ticket prices this season are once again $19.00 for side seating and $18.00 for end seating. Tickets are available for purchase in person through the Binghamton Senators Executive office located on the 3rd floor of the Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena, the Arena Box Office or by visiting any Ticketmaster outlet during normal business hours.
