Bears Release Ten Players from Training Camp

HERSHEY, Pa. - The Hershey Bears Hockey Club announced today the release of ten players from 2013 training camp. The announcement was made by Bears President/GM Doug Yingst.
The following players will report to the ECHL's Reading Royals: goaltenders Brandon Anderson and Riley Gill; defensemen Mike Banwell, Brett Flemming and Ryan Kavanagh; and forwards Dustin Gazley, David Marshall, Domenic Monardo and T.J. Syner.
Defenseman Erik Burgdoerfer will report to the ECHL's Bakersfield Condors.
The Bears roster now contains 30 players, which includes newly-acquired forward John Mitchell from Sunday's trade with the Anaheim Ducks, and forward Joel Rechlicz, who cleared waivers today:

DEFENSEMEN (11): Julien Brouillette, Michal Cajkovsky, Chay Genoway, David Kolomatis, Tomas Kundratek, Dmitry Orlov, Cameron Schilling, Nate Schmidt, Tyson Strachan, Patrick Wellar, Patrick Wey
FORWARDS (17): Josh Brittain, Dane Byers, Nicolas Deschamps, Stanislav Galiev, Jamie Johnson, Peter LeBlanc, Garrett Mitchell, John Mitchell, Joel Rechlicz, Tyler Ruegsegger, Brandon Segal, Ryan Stoa, Jeff Taffe, Nathan Walker, Matt Watkins, Casey Wellman, Derek Whitmore
The curtain will rise on the 76th season of Hershey Bears hockey on Saturday, October 5 as the club hosts the Adirondack Phantoms at 7:00 PM. Individual tickets are on sale at the GIANT Center box office, by calling (717) 508-BEAR or by going to TicketMaster.com on the internet.
Season tickets for the 2013-14 Hershey Bears regular season are on sale now, with many different flexible plans are available and start as low as $165.
