
Mad Ants Waive Morrison and Acquire Vernon Hamilton

Fort Wayne, IN (December 10, 2008)-The NBA D-League's Fort Wayne Mad Ants announced today that point guard Brian Morrison has been waived. The Mad Ants have acquired Vernon Hamilton.
A 6-0 guard, Hamilton was the 3rd round draft pick of the Erie BayHawks of the 2008 D-League Draft. He was later waived on 11/20. He was an All-ACC Defensive Player at Clemson and was in training camp with the Cleveland Cavaliers prior to this season. Hamilton averaged 12.3 points as a senior at Clemson in 2006-07, and then split the 2007-08 season between teams in Germany, Turkey, and Latvia.
Hamilton will join the Ants' roster for this Saturday's game, December 13, in Erie, Pennsylvania for the team's first road game of the season.
