
Skyforce Acquires Gwen McGowan

Sioux Falls, S.D. (December 10, 2008) - The Sioux Falls Skyforce announced today the acquisition of forward Glen McGowan. He fills a roster spot vacated by Michael Joiner who has left the team.
McGowan averaged 15.6 points and 5.2 rebounds in five games with Skyforce last season after being acquired in a trade with the Tulsa 66ers. He also averaged a team-leading 20.5 points to go along with 9.0 rebounds in two playoff games. The 6-9, 230-pound forward averaged 11.7 points and 4.8 rebounds in 18 games with the 66ers before being waived due to injury.
McGowan was also a member of the NBA Development League Ambassadors, a team comprised of 10 NBA D-League players that played a three-game schedule at the Rocky Mountain Revue this past summer. He averaged a team-leading 15.0 points and 5.7 rebounds and received votes for a spot on the All-Rocky Mountain Revue Team.
The Skyforce's next game is on Thursday, Dec. 10 on the road against the Rio Grande Valley Vipers. Tipoff is set for 11 a.m. at Dodge Arena in Hidalgo, Texas.
