MacMillan Re-Assigned to Utah; Bacashihua Heads to Texas

WEST VALLEY CITY, UTAH - The Utah Grizzlies National Hockey League (NHL), the Dallas Stars, announced today that they have re-assigned defenseman Jeff MacMillan to the Grizzlies and additionally have re-called goaltender Jason Bacashihua to Dallas.

MacMillan, 24, played in four games with Dallas not recording a point. In 21 games with Utah this season, the Durham, Ontario native scored a goal and added three assists with 22 penalty minutes. The 6-3, 206-pound defenseman was originally selected in the seventh round (215th overall) in the 1999 NHL Entry Draft.

Bacashihua, 21, is 21-29-4 with a 2.99 goals against average and four shutouts over the course of the last two seasons with the Grizzlies. The Garden City, Michigan native is 3-10-2 this year with a 2.78 goals against average. Bacashihua was originally a first round selection (26th overall) of the Dallas Stars in the 2001 NHL Entry Draft. The netminder appeared in four 2003 pre-season games with Dallas posting a 0-1-1 record and a 1.54 goals against average.

The Grizzlies host the Manchester Monarchs on Friday night at the 'E' Center. Face-off is scheduled for 7:05 PM.
