(Nashville, TN) - Lynyrd Skynyrd has announced they are personally offering a refund to patrons who purchased tickets to the July 4th Salisbury, Maryland show at Arthur W. Perdue Stadium. Refunds will be made available through January 5, 2007 by visiting the Arthur W. Perdue Stadium Box Office located at 6400 Hobbs Road, Route 50 in Salisbury. The show was cancelled due to severe weather complications.

In the past week, Lynyrd Skynyrd received word that the promoter halted refunds on July 31, 2006, leaving fans who had not received a refund jilted. "Our fans are what keep us going," says Johnny Van Zant. "When we heard about this, we were all shocked! We have very loyal fans and are also loyal to them." The band along with the Delmarva Shorebirds Minor league baseball club and Comcast-Spectacor have decided to donate money to ensure their fans and community receive a full refund, immediately. In addition, the band hopes to return and perform in the area in the near future.

One of the hardest working groups in music today, Lynyrd Skynyrd performs hundreds of shows each year. In 2006, the band performed on the VH1 Decades Rock Live (airing Sept. 1st), were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame (March 13, 2006), and has been touring steadily throughout the year.
