Rome Emperors News Release
Rome, GA - Outfielder Ovandy Suero has been sent to Myrtle Beach of the Carolina League. Suero was hitting .231 with 21 RBI and his 48 stolen bases this season set an all-time Rome record. The Braves receive outfielder Rubi Koko from extended spring training in Orlando. Koko signed as a free agent in 2003 and played in the Dominican Summer League last season.
Rome is at Asheville for a four game series beginning tonight. The team returns home on Saturday August 19th to open a four game series with the Columbus Catfish. Playoff tickets are on sale at the Rome Braves ticket office and online at www.romebraves.com. The first home playoff game is September 8th at 7pm.
