Columbus Catfish News Release

Columbus, GA - After spending all day trying to fix the broken light tower down the left field line, City of Columbus electricians are optimistic about the situation but have not yet repaired the malfunction. Because of the insufficient amount of light provided by the remaining light towers, the Columbus Catfish have decided to begin Wednesday's game against the Kannapolis Intimidators at 5 p.m. in order to have enough daylight to conclude the contest.

Looking at the "bright" side, come celebrate Happy Hour at Golden Park with "Wet Your Whistle Wednesday". All 12 oz. beer and soda will be on sale at the concession stands for only $1 throughout the entire afternoon. Every Wednesday is also Guaranteed Wins-Day. If the Catfish win Wednesday's game, every fan in attendance gets free admission to the following Thursday game. Redeem your Wednesday winning ticket at the box office.

The Catfish will continue the home stand against the Kannapolis Intimidators at Golden Park with games scheduled for Thursday, August 17th and Friday August 18th. Each Thursday at Golden Park is Thirsty Thursday sponsored by Rock 103, which means draft beer and soft drinks are only one dollar. It is also College Night, so students can take advantage of a one dollar discount when showing a student ID (does not include Skybox tickets).

Fridays and Saturdays all season the Fox 54 Family Fun Pack gets you four tickets, four hot dogs, four soft drinks and a souvenir program for just $20. Kids get in free if they make a birthday card for Hook, who turns four years old today! Phenix City teachers and students are invited for Phenix City Back to School Night. Indulge your love for chocolate as we honor the Oreo, the Great American Cookie. The ‘Fish with a Cause Campaign will feature Open Door Community House. Before tonight's game two players will sign autographs in the main concourse. After the game kids run the bases like their favorite players.
