Augusta Lynx News Release

Paring their roster down by two more players, the Augusta Lynx continue to prepare for an opening night clash against the Gwinnett Gladiators.

The team released forward B.J. Stephens and defenseman Lou DiMasi today to begin whittling their way down for the upcoming 2004-05 regular season. Stephens had no points and a +2 rating in his two pre-season contests with Augusta. Meanwhile, DiMasi was a +1 with no points in his two appearances.

"It's been a very competitive camp," said Lynx Head Coach and Director of Player Operations Stan Drulia. "This is one of the most difficult times I've ever had trying to cut a roster down during training camp. It's a good problem to have, but you know in the end you've got to let someone go."

Augusta opens the 2004-05 Season against the Gwinnett Gladiators on Friday, October 22nd at the Augusta-Richmond County Civic Center at 7:35 pm. Come on out for the tailgate party starting at 4 pm, and stay for the fireworks, H&R Block Magnetic schedule giveaway, The $1,000 Jeweler's Bench Roll for the Ruby Giveaway, and much more!
