Pensacola Ice Pilots News Release

Pensacola, Fla. – The Pensacola Ice Pilots announced today that forward Chanse Fitzpatrick has been traded to the Columbia Inferno for future considerations and cash.

Fitzpatrick played in 59 games last year for Sudbury of the OHL scoring 10 goals, 10 assists for 20 points and picked up 71 penalty minutes. He was assigned to the Ice Pilots during training camp from Manitoba of the AHL.

"We originally signed Chanse to a free agent contract during the summer. He went to Manitoba's training camp and they signed him to a two-way contract for this season. The trade was made to Columbia because Columbia is Manitoba's ECHL affiliate and it will give Chanse an opportunity to play in Manitoba's system," said Ice Pilots Head Coach Dave Farrish.

The Ice Pilots will begin the regular season this Saturday night, October 23 at Mississippi in Biloxi at 7:35 p.m. The Ice Pilots home opener is Saturday, October 30 vs. the Florida Everblades at 7:05 p.m. Pensacola's Olympic Gold Medalist winner Justin Gatlin-The World's Fastest Human-will drop the ceremony puck at the home opener.

Fans can purchase tickets for the Ice Pilots home opener and all 36 regular season home games in person at the Civic Center box office, at any Ticketmaster location, Charge by Phone at 434-7444 or through the Ice Pilots website at www.icepilots.com.
