Lynx Announce Opening Night: Part II Festivities

November 9, 2004 - ECHL (ECHL)
Augusta Lynx News Release

For those who might not remember the last time the Lynx played at home (October 22nd), Augusta has planned more fun for Opening Night: Part II. Season ticket holders will receive a previously unannounced free gift at the game as well as a free copy of the team's souvenir yearbook, regularly priced at three dollars.

During the game, the Lynx will wear special 1980 Team USA Olympic replica jerseys to be auctioned off immediately following the game. Sponsored by Sconyer's BBQ and Cinergie Marketing, the jerseys are the home white version of the uniforms worn by the United States ice hockey team that captured the gold medal in 1980 at the Lake Placid Winter Olympics, the team that was the subject of the recent movie "Miracle". Each player's jersey will be personalized with their name and number on the back, and at the auction players are available to sign the jerseys won by fans.

Friday night is also Slapshot Trivia Night with Mike Thomas, where Lynx fans have a chance to gather in teams of up to five people each and compete for prizes! Winning teams receive $15 gift certificates to Passport International for Lynx Merchandise, and a night in a Lynx Skybox for you and your friends! You can't win if you don't play, so make sure you're in every Friday night the Lynx play at home.

Tickets for the game are on sale now through the Augusta Lynx office at 712 Telfair St. by calling (706) 724-4423, at all TicketMaster locations, or online at www.TicketMaster.com. Seats are $10, $13, and $14, with discounts for students, seniors, and military personnel with proper ID.
