Charleston, SC – Brett Nowak tallied a goal and three assists and Dustan Heintz recorded the first two goals of his professional career to lead the Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies to a 5-2 victory over the South Carolina Stingrays before 3324 at the North Charleston Coliseum in ECHL action Tuesday.

Heintz opened the scoring for Atlantic City just 4:02 into the game when he picked up Dan Peters' rebound in the slot and fired a backhand shot past South Carolina goalie Kirk Daubenspeck for a 1-0 lead and the first goal of his professional career. Defenseman Ian Walterson made it 2-0 at 8:54 of the first period, walking into the high slot and ripping a slap shot off the glove of Daubenspeck and into the back of the Stingrays net.

The Bullies continued the onslaught in the second period as Novak opened the scoring 1:50 into the period on the power play as he slapped the puck through the pads of Daubenspeck for a 3-0 lead. Brian Fahey made it 4-0 1:36 seconds after the Nowak goal at 3:26 when he took a feed from Curtin in the slot and tucked the puck underneath Daubenspeck. Heintz would tally his second goal of the game at 14:31 of the second, taking a lead feed from Nowak and ripping a backhander over Daubenspeck's left shoulder to give the Bullies a 5-0 lead after two periods.

Aaron Power tallied a power play goal at 9:42 of the third period and Jeff Boulanger scored at 14:20 to provide the scoring for South Carolina.

South Carolina out-shot the Bullies 34-27. Bullies goaltender Jake Moreland stopped 32 shots to pick up his second win of the year. Atlantic City went 1-2 on the power play.
