Ford Called Up to St.John's of the AHL

Pensacola, Fla. – The Pensacola Ice Pilots announced that goalie Todd Ford has been called up to the St. John's Maple Leafs of the American Hockey League and also has been named runner-up this week for the Reebok Hockey ECHL Saver of the Week.

Ford has played in two games for the Ice Pilots this season posting a record of 2-0 with a 1.50 goals against average and .945 save percentage. Both games were played this past week as he had a shutout win in his first game as a professional on November 2 at Mississippi stopping 30 shots in a 5-0 win and made 22 saves in a 4-3 win vs. Augusta this past Sunday.

The Ice Pilots will play home to the Gwinnett Gladiators this Friday night at "The Hangar" at 7:05 p.m. It is "Nextel Cans for a Cause Holiday Food Drive." Fans who bring two non-perishable canned goods to the game will receive three dollars off a ticket. The discount is only good on game day at the Civic Center box office.

The first 1,000 fans who donate canned goods will also receive an Ice Pilots/Nextel megaphone. All non-perishable canned goods will be donated to the Manna Food Partners to help families in need. Also, the U.S. Army will give away hockey pucks to one lucky section during the game and fans will have an opportunity to win turkey's compliments of Albertson's during the intermission.

Fans can purchase individual game tickets in person at the Civic Center box office, at any Ticketmaster location, Charge by Phone at 434-7444 or through the Ice Pilots website at www.icepilots.com. For season tickets, group tickets, birthday parties and corporate sponsorship packages, fans can call the Ice Pilots at 432-7825.
