LANSING, Mich. - Sawil Gonzalez hit Carlos Gonzalez with the bases loaded, forcing in the game-winning run, and the Lansing Lugnuts (18-23) edged the Great Lakes Loons (14-29), 4-3, in 10 innings on Monday night at Cooley Law School Stadium.

The Lugnuts came back from deficits in the eighth and ninth innings to complete the four-game sweep and win their fifth straight game.

Dwight Smith, Jr. and Christian Lopes led off the bottom of the tenth against Gonzalez (Loss, 2-2) with singles, and Great Lakes elected to intentionally walk Kevin Patterson to load the bases with none out. On a 1-2 pitch, Gonzalez plunked Ramirez on the arm, ending the game and continuing the Loons' misery.

Great Lakes is 3-16 in the month of May.

The Lugnuts' Lopes went 4-for-5 in the game, including a triple in the fourth and a home run in the eighth that tied the score at 2-2.

The Loons grabbed a 3-2 lead in the top of the ninth against Lansing reliever Arik Sikula (Win, 3-0) on an Elevys Gonzalez RBI single, only to see the Lugs tie the score in the home half on a Seth Conner run-scoring fielder's choice.

Each team received fine starts in a pair of no-decisions: Lansing's Alonzo Gonzalez allowed two runs on six hits in 6 1/3 innings, while Great Lakes' Carlos Frias limited the Lugs to one run on eight hits in seven innings.

The Lugnuts' seven-game homestand continues with a 7:05 p.m. Dollar Deal Day on Tuesday, featuring $1 hot dogs, ice cream sandwiches and 16-oz. fountain drinks. Lansing right-hander Taylor Cole (2-2, 4.28) gets the start opposite Lake County right-hander Dylan Baker (1-3, 3.72).
