July 31, 2009 -- The Lansing Lugnuts, in conjunction with the Toronto Blue Jays, announced Friday that right-handed pitcher Jason Roenicke has been activated from the 7-day Disabled List with left-handed pitcher Hunter Moody placed on the 7-day Disabled List retroactive to July 30.
Roenicke, 23, was placed on the DL by the Lugnuts on July 3, causing the Californian to miss 24 games. He returns carrying a 1-0 record with one save and a 3.52 ERA in five appearances spanning 7.2 innings. Roenicke's father, Gary, and uncle, Ron, both played in the Major Leagues, and his brother Josh is currently in the Cincinnati Reds' bullpen.
