The Great Lakes Loons took the rubber game Friday night at Pohlman Field as the Loons pounded out six runs in the seventh inning to take a 7-2 victory.
The Loons flame thrower Rubby De La Rosa went seven innings as he struck out six batters and gave up two hits as he earned his fourth win of the season.
Snapper's newcomer Lance Ray went 2-for-3 with an RBI and broke up the no-hit bid in the fifth inning as he earns The "Brodie Trophy Player of the Game" honors.
Also in the contest starting shortstop James Beresford collected his 91st and 92nd base hits to add to his team high as he also scored a run.
The Snappers will start a three game with the Lansing Lugnuts Saturday night as right handed starter B.J. Hermsen will take the mound for the Snappers. Fans can enjoy fireworks after the game as the Fire & Ice Girls will make an appearance; game time is set for 7:00PM.
