LANSING, Mich. - The Lansing Lugnuts, in conjunction with the Toronto Blue Jays, announced Friday that outfielder Chris Hopkins has been promoted to Dunedin (A-Advanced, Florida State League) while outfielder Markus Brisker has been transferred to Lansing from Auburn (Short-A, New York-Penn League).

In 47 games with the Lugnuts, the 22-year-old Hopkins batted .273 with 20 runs scored, 15 stolen bases, 20 walks (compared to 20 strikeouts), and a .373 batting average.

Brisker began the 2009 season in Lansing and batted .114 (12-for-105) with 12 steals in 40 games before spending the rest of the campaign in Auburn. In 27 games with the Doubledays this season, the 19-year-old is batting .162 (17-for-105) with one home run, nine RBIs, and two stolen bases.

The moves brings the Lugnuts' current roster to 25 active players and three players on the DL.
