Great Lakes Loons News Release
APPLETON, WI - Tuesday night's debut between the Great Lakes Loons (45-39) and the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers (39-44) has been postponed. Great Lakes and Wisconsin will make up Tuesday's game as part of a doubleheader Wednesday night at Fox Cities Stadium, beginning at 6:35 P.M. EDT.
Wednesday's doubleheader will begin the first interleague matchup for Great Lakes this season when they take on the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers. Playing in the High-A Central's West Division, Wisconsin enters 17.5 games behind first-place Quad Cities.
Despite falling in six of their last ten games, the Loons remain first in the East Division with a game's lead in front of Dayton entering Tuesday. This six-game series in Wisconsin will begin a stretch of 18 games where 12 of those games will be played on the road.
This season, the Loons lead the division and are second in all of the High-A Central with a 26-16 record on the road. In their recent 12-game road trip, Great Lakes took four-of-six from Dayton and four-of-six from Lake County, improving their road record with eight wins and four losses over the two-week span.
This week's Wisconsin series can be listened to live on ESPN 100.9 FM, with coverage beginning for Wednesday's doubleheader starting on the Loons On-Deck Circle, Built by Three Rivers, or watch every game on MiLB.TV.
The Great Lakes Loons have been the Single-A partner of the Los Angeles Dodgers since the team's inception in 2007. Dow Diamond serves as the team's home and also houses the Michigan Baseball Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit public charity, and ESPN 100.9-FM.
