
Lookouts Claim First Win of 2019

Chattanooga Lookouts News Release
The Chattanooga Lookouts won their first game of the season in front of their third straight crowd of over 5,000 fans!
Montgomery got out of the gates quickly by scoring two runs in the first inning. Your hometown Lookouts answered back in the bottom of the second in a resounding fashion. Narciso Crook ignited the inning with a leadoff double. He proceeded to score on a Cassidy Brown RBI single. The big blow in the inning came on a Tyler Trammell three-run homer. The blast was his first double-a homer of the season.
Lookouts starter Scott Moss posted a solid start, only allowing one run in four innings while striking out four. After Moss left the game, Wyatt Strahan came on and pitched a shutout fifth inning. In the sixth the Biscuits tagged Strahan for two runs to tie the game up at four.
The away team took the lead an inning later on a Tristan Gray solo shot. Down one entering the bottom of the eighth inning the Lookouts offense geared up for a comeback. Brantly Bell drew a walk to begin the inning and Crook singled to put runners on first and second with no outs. Brown followed up Crook's single with a sacrifice bunt to move the runners over. After a Alfredo Rodriguez strike out, T.J. Freidl belted an RBI single to tie the game up and move Crook to third. The next batter, Jose Siri, beat the shiift and knocked one right up the middle to give the Lookouts the 6-5 lead. Siri finished the day going 3-for-4 with an RBI and a walk.
RHP Alex Powers entered the game in the top of the ninth to close out the game and earn his first save of the season.
Tomorrow, is the Lookouts first Dog of the Diamonds Day of the season presented by Hawthorne Residential Partners. Game time is set for 2:15 p.m. with gates opening at 1:00 p.m.
